Here are my 8 Streams of Income

A stream in a forest of cash and coins

They say millionaires usually have 7 streams of income. I have 8. To be honest, I wasn’t even planning to have this many — it just happened.

One day I looked at everything I was doing and thought, wait a second… I’m making money from all these different angles.

So I figured I’d lay it all out here.

Not because I’ve “made it,” but because you might see something on this list you can steal for yourself.

1. Airbnb

I rent out part of my place through Airbnb. Honestly, it’s been one of the easiest ways to bring in semi-passive income.

Once you set up your listing with photos and a solid description, it pretty much runs itself.

You just keep the place clean, answer a few messages, and boom — guests roll in and pay you to stay. My listing was a spare room in my house, but if you have another property or even an extra dwelling on your lawn, you can list that too.

Look at buying a removable cabin if you have the capital.

My favorite thing about listing my spare room was that the first couple of bookings covered all the expenses in buying a bed and other furniture, and then some. Guests who want to stay longer than a few nights are gold. The longer they’re there, the less time you have to spend making beds.

You’re also attracting customers who are willing to spend money on accommodation, so they’re normally pretty well-rounded, respectful individuals.

2. Cloud Mining

Crypto mining without the noise, heat, and hardware bills. I use GoMining, where you basically rent digital mining power.

It generates Bitcoin over time, and the platform handles the heavy lifting.

It’s not a “get rich quick” scheme, but it’s a nice set-and-forget stream that ticks away in the background.

3. Selling Digital Products

I create guides, PDFs, and little resources and sell them through my Gumroad shop. Once they’re made, they just sit there online, ready to be bought again and again.

Gumroad takes care of delivery, so it’s truly passive after the work is done. It’s a way of sharing knowledge and getting paid for it.

One guide I’ve written, Perfect Products Are A Lie, details how to kill perfectionism and launch your first product.

It’s great if you’re afraid of being seen. Grab your copy by clicking here.

4. Selling Books

On top of smaller guides, I’ve written full ebooks and mini-books, which I also list on my Gumroad store.

These are things I’ve written to guide people in the right direction — whether it’s money, mindset, or life.

The best part? Each book becomes an asset that can keep earning for years without extra effort.

Even better, you don’t even have to be a writer.

Finish It, Publish It, Sell It is a comprehensive yet simple guide I wrote to not just getting that first book or guide finished, but informs you on how to get started with free self-publishing platforms, and market it for free if you don’t have an ad budget.

You’ll never have writer’s block again, you’ll make money in your sleep, and you’ll have an eternally grateful audience.

5. Affiliate Commissions

This one is simple: I recommend tools, platforms, or services I actually use, and if someone signs up through my link, I get a cut.

I’ve even written a breakdown of how I do this here on my blog.

Affiliate marketing works best when it’s genuine — otherwise, people see straight through it. It also helps to have a disclaimer where you have links on your page or in articles (like in this one!).

Honesty and transparency beats snake oil every time.

6. Stock Dividends

I invest a little into the stock market through Sharesies. Some companies pay dividends, which is basically profit-sharing with investors.

You get small cash payouts just for holding the stock.

It’s not life-changing money at first, but it builds up, and you can reinvest it to keep the snowball growing.

If you’re in New Zealand or Australia, you can join Sharesies by clicking here.

If you’re not an antipodean, don’t worry — you still have options. The prompt I give people to use in ChatGPT is:

I live in [COUNTRY]. Tell me what microinvesting platforms I can start using to buy dividend stocks starting with as little as $5.

If you’ve got thousands in capital just sitting in a savings account gathering dust — sorry, “interest”, you’re probably already aware of micro-investing. If you still don’t have stocks because you don’t know where or how to start, I have a guide on that too — Wealth Foresight’s Savings to Income guide.

7. Paid Writing Platforms

Platforms like Medium pay writers when people read your stuff.

The system is built around their membership model, so the more engaging your writing, the more you earn.

It’s not entirely passive — you do need to write — but once an article is up, it can keep earning long after you’ve published it.

Articles that have reach through SEO can get referrals from search engines for years, so you can keep earning from an article you posted a year ago or so.

Click here to check out Medium. My profile is linked here if you want to see my other articles. I write for people who want financial freedom there too, but I enjoy a few other topics like films, TV, politics, and others.

8. Selling My Chicken’s Eggs!

This one’s old-school but still works.

My chickens lay eggs, and I sell the extras. It’s not a goldmine, but people love fresh eggs, and it more than covers the cost of feed.

You can also have a lot of fun with it, if you’re into content creation (which, if you’re marketing your other income streams, you have to be to some extent.)

Honestly, it’s the most wholesome income stream I have.

If you follow FashionChooks on TikTok, it’s a funny and informative account that posts a lot of great chicken content. Incidentally, they have a built-in fanbase. People love chickens more than eggs. (LINK)

So yeah, that’s my lineup.

Nothing flashy, nothing overnight. Just 8 different streams that either tick away in the background or pay me for work I’ve already done. Some of them anyone can start today, others take a bit more setup.

The point is, you don’t need to go all-in on one thing. Stack enough little streams together, and suddenly you’ve got a river.

If you’re reading this and wondering, how the hell? That’s okay — I’ve been there. I have a few resources to help you out. The first couple are free. The last one isn’t.
